THE SHOW
 
 
The two-time Emmy Award-winning best comedy about space aliens impersonating a family to explore the strange ways of Earth features an all-star ensemble cast led by John Lithgow, Jane Curtin, Kristen Johnston, French Stewart and the young Joseph Gordon-Levitt, along with a who’s who of major guest stars. At the Primetime Emmy Awards in 1997, it collected the biggest single-year haul ever at the time for a TV series by nabbing five statues out of eight nominations.
THE ICONIC CAR
 
 
An iconic red 1962 Rambler American was chosen by the producers as the landing spot for the aliens in the very first episode. The car served as a frequent set during filming and was key to several episodes including one where it was tragically smashed but then rebuilt. The actual 3rd Rock Rambler now resides in a museum in Kenosha, Wisconsin – the original corporate of American Motors.
THE PRIZE
 
The car being given away in the COZI TV 3rd Rock from the Sun Rambler Sweepstakes was acquired by COZI TV in 2021, shortly after the show joined the network’s regular line-up on July 19, 2021. COZI TV worked with a garage, to repair systems, update mechanicals and customize features to be similar to the 3rd Rock Rambler. The original Rambler from the series is currently on display at the Wisconsin Auto Museum and owned by the Kenosha History Center in Wisconsin.
 
The car was purchased for COZI TV in upstate New York, shipped to northern New Jersey and then to Canada, where it was refurbished and underwent stylistic touch-up and minor repairs to get into excellent driving condition by The Guild of Automotive Restorers, who appear in the popular MotorTrend TV / MotorTrend+ show Restoration Garage.  It will be featured on a segment of the show next season.
